LEAD AND COPPER RULE

October 09, 2024

In 1991, EPA published a regulation to control lead and copper in drinking water. This regulation is known as the Lead and Copper Rule (also referred to as the LCR).

As a public water system, Sabine Parish Water District #1 has developed and implemented a policy to identify and track service line materials in normal operations with maps, inspection reports, permits, service line installations and other records. In doing this, Sabine Parish Waterworks District #1 has not located any lead or copper in our water system that needs replacement.

For a copy of our lead and copper inventory, please come by the office located at 660 Hwy. 171 Many, Louisiana or call 318-256-6489 to request a copy.
