The Sabine Parish Waterworks District #1 is experiencing problems with the water supply system due to a break in a distribution line.

Because of this problem, the water produced by our water supply system is of questionable microbiological quality.

Therefore, as a precaution the Sabine Parish Waterworks District #1 is issuing a BOIL ADVISORY effective immediately for customers in the following area: HWY 6 EAST FROM THE HWY 3118 TO THE NATCHITOCHES PARISH LINE, ALL SURROUNDINGS ROADS, AND THEIR SURROUNDINGS ROADS.

It is recommended that all consumers in the affected area disinfect their water before consuming it, making ice, brushing teeth or using it for food preparation by the following means:

Again, please be sure to disinfect your own water prior to consumption until you have be advised otherwise.
